SHSU Online Newsletter
This Month @ SHSU Online
SHSU Online is committed to the faculty's success in creating an efficacious learning experience for students in Blackboard. Services and support are being provided on an ongoing basis to assist faculty with six essential course elements.
Featuring presenters from across the continent, this year’s Digital Education summit is a free one-day virtual event for the education community where educators can share their experiences, teach, learn, and promote effective practices and methodologies.
A changing world means a changing campus, but it doesn't mean that we have to change everything - and it doesn't mean we have to give up on the things that make up the campus experience. Fortunately, even during a pandemic, we have a lot of options to bring students together virtually without needing to bring students together physically.
SHSU's Center for Assessment, Research, and Educational Safety (CARES) has launched an IdeaScale community where educators can share how COVID-19 affected their jobs in higher education.
Blackboard World 2020, held July 21-22, 2020, consisted of two days jam-packed with teaching and learning sessions, interactive activities and timely keynote speakers. Sam Houston State University was lucky enough to have 60 representatives in attendance, as well as one session presenter.
Blackboard, Inc. will be hosting a four-week cohort program for Exemplary Blackboard Courses. Enroll to join discussion on key characteristics of high-quality courses within the framework of Course Design, Interaction and Collaboration, Assessment, and Learner Support!
